CHRISTMAS BASH @ FAST LANES

It is time to celebrate Christmas and we are going to Fast Lanes. We will be bowling, playing laser-tag, riding go-karts, and eating pizza!! It is going to be a blast and it will be the last event of the 2012 year so make sure you come.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Because of the holiday week we will not be having The Hype the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Join us at The Hype for the next 3 weeks as we go through a new series called "FaithFactor"!! We will be studying moments of faith Israel had in the Old Testament and how God rewarded those moments of faith. There will also be some great challenges that would make the contestants from the show FearFactor cringe!! Bring a friend and don't miss out on The Hype!!!

DISCIPLE NOW 2012 - SURRENDER

Description: Disciple Now is a weekend experience designed to disciple YOU (6th-12th grade students) in both small groups as well as encourage group bonding and personal growth through passionate corporate worship and teaching. The Shine is an amazing worship band that is coming to lead YOU to His feet in true worship. We are working very hard on every activity that will take place to make this weekend everything it can be in order to change your life. Ultimately that is the goal, RIGHT? Several counselors, both guys and girls, are coming to be personal mentor disciple-group leaders, because they desire to share their passion and experiences with YOU. This year we will be going through a video series by Francis Chan called Surrender. Francis Chan is an amazing Christian communicator that has a heart for the young people of this world. The potential for this weekend to be a landmark in your Christian walk is incredible...It is our chance to "SURRENDER" and go from ordinary to extraordinary...

GIRLS NITE/GUYS NITE

Description: Join us for a Girls Nite/Guys Nite event. Girls will be catching a movie and grabbing some ice-cream at Cold Stone afterwards. ANNOUNCEMENT JUNE 17

WE WILL NOT BE HAVING THE HYPE THIS WEDNESDAY (JUNE 20)

WHEN- July 22-28th 

WHERE- Arlington, Texas

COST- $180 ($50 non-refundable deposit)

DESCRIPTION- Mission Arlington is a well-known organization that impacts the residents in the outskirts of Arlington, Texas. We will assist them in leading a Vacation Bible School for the kids in the city along with building relationships with them and their families. 

Along with this, we will also have a blast as we got to Six Flags, check out a Rangers game, and go to a "Student Evangelism Conference" to hear great speakers and listen to amazing bands like the Newsboys.

SUPER SUMMER 2012

WHEN- JV (6th-8th): June 16-19

            SS (9th-12th): June 19-23

WHERE- Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas

COST- Early Registration: May 9th- $200 ($50 non-refundable deposit)

           Late Registration: May 31st- $220 ($50 non-refundable deposit)

DESCRIPTION- Super Summer Arkansas is a camp that takes place each summer. It is split into two camps: Super Summer JV, serving campers who have completed 6th-8th grades, and Super Summer, serving campers who have completed 9th-12th grades. Both camps have adult leaders who attend one or both camps as adult chaperones. Every camper is assigned a specific college-aged staffer who will be there to facilitate small group discussions and recreation. It is a high energy camp with great teaching, worship, and games that student's won't want to miss!!

ACQUIRE THE FIRE

WHEN: March 16-17

WHERE: Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK

COST: $65.00

DESCRIPTION: If you want and need a spiritual energy drink half way through your semester, ACQUIRE THE FIRE (ATF) is your answer. On March 16 we will be going to Tulsa, OK for ATF 2012. ATF is a 27 hour worship experience designed for teenagers. There will be amazing bands (like Tenth Avenue North), amazing speakers, and amazing skits.
